Before your first appointment

  • You do not need a referral, though one is welcome and often useful
  • You do not need to know the medical name of your concern
  • Bring previous results, scans, letters and a list of your medicines
  • Write down the questions that matter most to you
  • Tell the team if you need extra time, an interpreter or a chaperone

About appointments and waiting

An appointment request is reviewed by a member of the clinic team, who matches your concern to the right specialist and clinic day before contacting you to agree a time. The clinic aims to acknowledge requests within two business days. Clinician referrals marked urgent are triaged ahead of routine requests.

About tests and results

Tests are arranged when the result would change what happens next, not as a matter of routine. Your specialist will tell you what each test is for and roughly how long results take. Results are explained to you — a number on its own is rarely the whole picture, and context matters more than any single value.

About privacy

Everything you share with Quantum Urology Clinic is treated as confidential health information. Only the members of the clinic team who need your details in order to arrange or provide your care are able to see them, and notifications we send you never contain clinical detail — only a reference number and a neutral subject line.

A quick-exit control appears on every page if you need to leave the site immediately, and only public educational pages are cached for offline use.

About costs and paperwork

Fees, insurance arrangements and any documentation needed in your territory are confirmed by the clinic when your appointment is arranged. Receipts, insurer reports and onward referral letters can be prepared on request.
