Write down your main concerns before the appointment. You do not need medical terminology — describing what you notice, and when, is more useful.
Bring any recent test results, scan reports and a list of your current medicines.
It is fine to bring someone with you, and it is fine to ask your specialist to repeat or write down anything you would like to think about later.
If part of your concern feels difficult to raise, you can say so at the start. These conversations are routine and confidential.
