Decisions are shared. Where there is more than one reasonable option, including waiting and monitoring, each is explained with its practical implications so that you can weigh them against your own circumstances.

What to expect at a consultation

• A review of any results, scans or letters you bring or upload
• Any examination explained first, carried out only with your consent, with a chaperone available
• A clear explanation of what is known, what is not yet known, and what would help to find out
• An agreed plan and a written summary of next steps

Requesting an appointment

You can ask to be seen by a particular specialist when you submit an appointment request, and the team will do their best to accommodate it alongside clinic availability and the urgency of your concern. If seeing someone sooner matters more to you than seeing a specific person, say so in the request and the team will offer the earliest suitable appointment.

Submitting a request is not the same as a confirmed booking. A member of the clinic team reviews every request, checks which specialist and which clinic day suits your concern, and then contacts you to agree a time. If your symptoms change, or become severe, while you are waiting to hear from us, seek urgent local medical care rather than waiting for a reply.

Privacy

Everything you share with Quantum Urology Clinic is treated as confidential health information. Only the members of the clinic team who need your details in order to arrange or provide your care are able to see them, and notifications we send you never contain clinical detail — only a reference number and a neutral subject line.
